THE 5TH (-) ENTRY:

mila paloma! says:
i decided last night that if i'm interested in something, i better know everything about it.....and one of the things i am interested in: flowers with interesting names.

Forget-me-not: A low-growing plant (Myosotis) with small, usually blue flowers . As the common name suggests, a symbol of a plea for remembrance. "Forget me not" are supposed to have been the last words of young man who fell into a river and drowned while picking these flowers for his lover.

i think that these flowers might just be the most romantic of them all.
Much like my penchant for salmon...not only are they succulently delish,
they are also the most romantic fish in the world. Imagine traveling far
and against river flows, jumping to heights, breaking your bones,
make love and die....what feat! what romance!

what's with rivers and romances?

and here's Ophelia to show us how to be the ultimate romantic.
Died from a broken heart with some strings of forget-me-not flowers
wound around her wrists.

but i say

just as odile would say:

BUT I WILL REMEMBER TO FORGET YOU,
BY NEVER FORGETTING TO EAT
YOUR FORGET-YOU-NOT

NOT!
